Today, Hope for Samburu Communities (HFSC) join Samburu County Anti-FGM Steering Committee meeting, facilitated by the National Anti-FGM Board. As a grassroots organization working on the frontlines on community empowerment and gender justice, we are happy to collaborate with other stakeholders to create a safer, more equitable future for our girls and women. The aim of this engagement is reviewing active Anti-FGM projects across Samburu County, evaluating what approaches work well to reduce FGM in the community, uncovering hidden challenges and underground cutting trends, listening directly to local leadership and cultural elders. At HFSC, we firmly believe that eradicating FGM requires a united front combining the power of statutory laws with deep community dialogues and youth innovation.![]()
